A sort of New Years

It's been an interesting summer. Busy as always. I am almost looking forward for school to start so that things slow down. With a million and one half-finished projects layering the floor of my bedroom, it's almost impossible to even get a drink of water in the middle of the night when my throat randomly desires liquid. I have been spending many weekends in an empty and dark house while the rest of my family goes down to our farm house. I enjoy the alone time, but once you get used to living alone, it's hard to readjust to living with other people again. Especially when those "other people" include a 5 year old and a dog half your size. As the new school year looms over me in these last couple weeks of summer, I can't help but think of it as a time for reflection and new resolutions. The beginning of a school year has always been more of a "New Years" to me anyway. If you know me well, you know I am constantly making lists. I make at least 3 a day. And these lists (flashcards were my victum this summer) are kept in little clumps under my mac desktop that I rarely go back and re-read. But sitting in front of me right now is my list of resolutions and goals and I plan to re-read it multiple times before falling asleep tonight so that they may resonate in my brain and be re-created in my dreams. Heres to a better blog and a better year!

I LOOK AT THE SCHOOL YEAR LIKE A NEW YEAR TOOO. this time is actually a new start, since I probably won't have friends for a while :[ BUT I have resolved to be open to anything and truly embrace a fresh start. It's a good feeling.
